A Deeper Path:
The Call of Aging
Retreats, Workshops, and Small Group Gatherings on the Spiritual Journey of Aging
Our Mission
An invitation to enter the Third Age of life
with meaning and purpose
Traditionally, elders have been the sages, the wise ones, the keepers of the sacred. Sadly, contemporary culture’s focus on speed and efficiency marginalizes the role of elders as emissaries of spirit. As a consequence, we often view elderhood simply as a time of diminishment. But the “third age” can be a sacred journey when new life can thrive.
A Deeper Path’s goals are to:
Encourage midlife seekers to begin preparing for a deeply vibrant elderhood
Advance the view of aging as a spiritual practice
Call elders to their vocation as Blessers
Promote healthy intergenerational relationships

"People are anxious to save up financial means for old age;
they should also be anxious to prepare a spiritual means for old age…
Wisdom, maturity, tranquility do not come all of a sudden when we retire."
Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel

The Soul of Aging
The Soul of Aging is a multi-session program designed to guide us in intentional reflection as we navigate the aging process. Each session invites us to contemplate themes of aging and helps us to appreciate elderhood as an adventure rather than simply a time to be faced with dread. This series is for people who long to understand, surrender to, and be transformed by the aging process.
The Soul of Aging series is held in-person and via Zoom.
